TAIPEI TECH ECIE’s Global Engagement and Achievements in the MagNet Challenge at APEC

The ECIE Laboratory at Taipei Tech proudly stood among the global competitors in the 2023 PELS-Google-Tesla-Princeton MagNet Challenge, a landmark international competition that united teams from numerous countries to advance key technologies in power electronics. This event did not just emphasize the convergence of traditional power electronics and the burgeoning field of machine learning but also showcased the commitment of academia and industry to foster an open-source culture for collective progress.

As we celebrate the conclusion of this prestigious competition, we extend our congratulations to all the award-winning teams and applaud every participant who demonstrated ingenuity and dedication throughout the event. Their collective efforts have undeniably elevated the standards and expectations of innovation within the field.

The ECIE Laboratory at TAIPEI TECH actively contributed to this global stage, ensuring that our presence in critical technological advancements remained unwavering. The competition’s emphasis on open-source software and its arrangement of numerous online exchanges provided us with an unparalleled opportunity to quickly integrate machine learning techniques into core loss modeling – a testament to the rapidly evolving technological era we navigate.
