ECIE Lab Honored at Power Grid Talent Development Ceremony

The ECIE Lab was honored to be invited to the Power Grid Talent Development Alliance Scholarship and Liu Shu-Sheng Memorial Award Ceremony, an annual event bringing together leaders from Taiwan’s power industry, Taipower, academic institutions, and research organizations. The event highlights the importance of long-term talent cultivation in power systems, grid engineering, and energy innovation.

This year, the ECIE Lab achieved remarkable recognition.

Outstanding Project Achievement Award

Congratulations to undergraduate students Yong-Xin Chang, Po-Yu Wang, and mentor Shang-Syun Wu for receiving the Outstanding Project Achievement Award for their research titled:

“Generalized Topology Derivation and Electrical Dependency Modeling for Y–Cr–ΔΔ Three-Phase Interleaved LLC Converters.”

Award Details

  • Student Team Award: NT$30,000
  • Advisor Award (Prof. Yuchen Liu): NT$10,000

About the Award-Winning Project

This work proposes a generalized modeling framework for three-phase interleaved LLC resonant converters using the Y–Cr–ΔΔ configuration. The modeling approach reveals key electrical dependencies within the resonant network, offering new insights into:

  • High-frequency resonant behavior
  • Magnetic integration
  • Electrical relationships in multiphase structures
  • Design considerations for high-power-density DC/DC converters

The research serves as a valuable technical foundation for next-generation server power supplies and advanced power architectures required by AI and cloud computing systems.

ECIE Lab’s Commitment

The ECIE Lab continues to push the boundaries in:

  • High-frequency power conversion
  • Magnetic integration
  • Multiphysics simulation
  • High-power-density converter design

We remain committed to nurturing future talent for Taiwan’s evolving power grid and energy ecosystem. Our team will continue collaborating with industry, academia, and research partners to accelerate innovations that shape the next generation of energy conversion technologies.
